We'll be expanding this collection over the coming weeks. If you have a favorite hybrid rudiment you'd like added, get in touch on Instagram or email us.
What Are Hybrid Drum Rudiments?
Hybrid drum rudiments combine two or more standard rudiments to create a new pattern. For example, a "Flam" + "Drag" = "Flam Drag." Some hybrids are variations of standard rudiments rather than strict combinations.
Unlike the 40 PAS International Drum Rudiments, there is no official list of hybrid rudiments. New patterns are constantly created. In this collection, we will upload the most common hybrids you might come across.
