What is a flam accent?

The Flam Accent is a triplet-based rudiment that alternates flams between hands with taps in between. The basic structure is:

• Flam followed by two taps (lR L R or rL R L)
• Each flam is accented
• Three-note grouping creates triplet feel

Getting this pattern right depends on your flam control. Start slow and focus on:

• Consistent flam spacing
• Even tap notes between flams
• Clear accents on the flams
• Smooth transitions between hands
