The Seven Stroke Roll can also be played in a triplet interpretation. In this case, the structure is:

• A quaver followed by triplet roll (RLLRRLL)
• First note is accented and outside the triplet

The way to get this rudiment down is by getting the timing and transition just right. Start slow and focus on:

• Strong accent on the first note
• Even spacing between the triplet rolls
