Single Drag Tap (Triplet)

What is a single drag tap (triplet)?

You can also play the Single Drag Tap in a triplet interpretation. The basic structure is:

  • Accented first note followed by a double stroke and single note at the end of the triplet
  • The sticking pattern is RLLR, then flip it in reverse and start with your other hand: LRRL
  • Creates a rolling three-note feel

Getting the triplet timing right is crucial. Start slow and focus on:

  • Strong first note accent
  • Even triplet spacing
  • Smooth flow between hands
